Happy New Year Lovie!
We just spent around 2 weeks at home, in Chattanooga without work or school. What wonderful QT with my Besties! It even snowed on Christmas Day!!!
You had a pretty fantastic Christmas and that gave us so much joy. You ran around the house singing the Shirley Temple song “That’s What I Want for Christmas” from Grand Illumination night which was music to our ears. You also acquired a drumset from the girls and they gave you a karaoke like microphone on Christmas too. After opening it, you told us “Get ready everybody, there’s gonna be a show!” and you weren’t kidding. You sang everything from your favorite Christmas carols to Beyonce’s Single Ladies. In the car this morning, we heard Rihanna “what’s my name” and you said it was my song and that “love the way you lie” was yours. Santa brought you a baby changing station just as you asked for as well as a ‘cool dollhouse,’ and shoes specially made by the elves. G-parents got you a v-tech reader and a scooter and Aunt Am got you the Jesse doll you’ve been requesting. Your b-day is just around the corner, so we’re trying to make room for all the new loot. We had the Griffith’s and Bustamante’s over for Christmas Eve for the 2nd year in a row and enjoyed that a ton.
You and I did some visits with new Babies over the break and friends we hadn’t seen. We met Hudson Henry and you and Kate played well together pretending to drive her Barbie jeep. We played at Anna and Hughie’s and met Baby Austin Guth from New Mexico too. You have a ton of character and are super cute and funny. I told you that you were so much fun, and you said: “mom, I’m not a toy.” We played with cousins and Evelyn Dugan a bit on NYE, then rung in 2011 at home which was perfect
On the 1st day of the year, Jake and Jenn had people over & you got into playing Just Dance 2 with the bigger kids. So adorable! You also kept getting stuck up on Maggie’s top bunk, you little stinker. Their dog, Sophie, actually nipped you in the dace that night – ouch
On Jake’s b-day we went to Taco Mamacita and you made about 50 laps around the long table/booth we had paying the “toll” with kisses to all. The next night we took Little Jonathan and his friend DJ bowling at pin strikes (your 2nd time bowling this month).
You like to tell us how many degrees it is outside and are still so into your cousin Brandi from Shreveport. You love looking at pictures and started playing house more and more. You are so sweet to your daddy and I and even help us remember to say the blessing before dinner a lot of times. You are the greatest Blessing little bugga and I hope you will always know just how much we love you!
